Dr.
Schram is a Fellowship Certified sports medicine specialist and Board Certified
orthopedic surgeon who is uniquely qualified to treat sports related
injuries. He has completed Fellowship training in Sports Medicine with particular
focus on the knee and shoulder, earning additional certification in this field.
He has worked with some of the finest athletes including the Houston Texans,
the Houston Astros, and the San Antonio Spurs, and has returned professional,
collegiate, and high school athletes to competitive levels of performance.
Dr. Schram is Team Physician for the Austin AZTEX Professional Soccer Team. He is also Team Physician for the State Champion Lake Travis Caveliers and several other local high school teams.
Dr. Schram is an athlete himself. He played collegiate baseball
and has competed in marathons, triathlons, and is a USTA 5.0 rated tennis
player. He is also a registered 1st Degree Dan with the World Tae Kwon Do
Federation in Seoul, South Korea.
Whatever your game or level of competition, Dr. Schram and his staff have
the knowledge and experience to get you back to the activities you enjoy, back in your game.
Dr. Welsh has served as a team physician for the University of South Florida, University of Tampa, Saint Leo University, Western Michigan University, and several high schools in the Tampa area. Dr. Welsh has conducted research projects on ACL injuries and shoulder dislocations. He has lectured at national sports medicine conferences and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Welsh has a particular interest in cartilage and ligament injuries of the knee. He is especially interested in cartilage restoration procedures to either transplant cartilage or stimulate new cartilage growth in the knee.
In his spare time, Dr. Welsh enjoys running, cycling, basketball, weight lifting, golf, water skiing, wake boarding, snow skiing, triathlons, and music.
